A Game for Twisted Girls
Dragon Isle is a Huge Continent, stretching farther than any other land mass… but most don’t see it. When most sail to Dragon Isle what they see is a small uninhabited island that really only function it would be good for is marooning someone. Mostly sand, a few sparse trees, some grass, very little wildlife, even lesser fresh water. Some great pirates have been known to bury treasure there… many come and dig up the little island trying to find it, but they never will, it has already been claimed.
You see, the island that most pull up to is not really Dragon Isle… for that, you need to look up above the clouds…
Dragon Isle, or Rakshareer Kashar as the inhabitants call it, is a floating island. Far above the clouds it is a Paradise for the rare creatures that inhabit it. Few dragons come to the earth for one reason or another, but the vast majority live here. They have their own races, usually distinguished by color. From each of these “clans” they have a leader, usually the oldest (and biggest) of their kind. They are all highly intelligent and magical creatures. Some are as vicious as the stories of their kind lead them to be. Other view themselves as guardians of man, responsible to lead the small creatures below them to develop into the people they can be. Some of these believe in this so much that they will live as a person among the “mortals” as a altered form.
The Council of Dragons meets once a year in the middle of the Isle, on top of the dead volcano, inside it’s massive creator.
All dragons hoard in one way or another. Some it is gold, and any buried on the little island below is quickly claimed. Others horde items or power, or books, or some either call themselves “keepers” collecting rare living things from the world below.
Most who live below the Isle think that the tales of it are only the stories of bards and nothing more. On a rare occasion someone may suggest that they have been to the isle but most do not believe them. Some spend their whole lives trying to find it, not knowing the secret that it is above the ground. Other who know that secret do not know who to get there…
